Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Emmanuel Sango is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, individualized psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults. He believes that effective mental health treatment goes beyond simply reducing symptoms: it should help individuals regain a greater sense of freedom, improve their ability to function, and move toward more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Dr. Sango recognizes that every patient comes to treatment with a unique story. Some may be seeking psychiatric care for the first time, while others may have received multiple diagnoses or tried several treatments without finding the right fit. He views psychiatric diagnoses as useful tools for understanding patterns of symptoms, while recognizing that no diagnosis fully defines the person experiencing them.

His approach emphasizes collaboration, open communication, and evidence-informed treatment tailored to each patient's individual needs. Treatment may include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and coordination with therapists or other healthcare professionals when appropriate. When a higher level of support is needed, he works with patients and families to identify appropriate resources and treatment options.

Dr. Sango believes patients should be active participants in their care. He encourages questions, welcomes differences of opinion, and values honest conversations about what is and is not working. He approaches treatment with humility and transparency, recognizing that psychiatric care often requires thoughtful adjustments over time.

Above all, Dr. Sango strives to create a welcoming and collaborative environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in improving their mental health and overall well-being.
